My first camera wasn't a Brownie Hawkeye, and I never owned a Hasselblad, but I certainly loved my Kodak Disc and even better was my Polaroid Instamatic. Like so many people in the world, I simply love to take pictures. I think my grandfather must have enjoyed that we shared this passion, because he financed the darkroom in the basement.
Today, Wendy Concannon Photography is a growing business that provides photography for a variety of clients. I love shooting on location, taking portraits of children, and capturing people in their own surroundings, which seems to always reveal a certain something about them. Amazing in a different way has been the addition of the studio. We have great indoor space along with outside gardens. Together, they promote an atmosphere of relaxed fun, which allows for creativity to happen - and it does.
Over many years, both formally and informally, I have studied lighting and technique. This knowledge has been invaluable. But honestly it's the real-life experience, and occasional trial under fire, that has led me to find my own style and approach to photography.
